We are working with Professor Claus Christian Carbon and the EPAEG Research Group on a series of studies that explore how people perceive stoma products. This includes visual reactions, tactile impressions, emotional associations and day to day interactions.
What the research includes
-
In situ experiences Patients and their partners share how they interact with products in real life settings. This includes interviews and guided reflection.
-
Lab assessments People review different product variations and share their impressions of them by the Neuroaesthetics design principles: INPUT PRINCIPLES.
-
Eye-tracking technology Special tools explore subconscious responses to various parts of the product such as shape, material and small design differences.
What we aim to understand
-
How first impressions shape acceptance and confidence.
-
How design influences both confidence and stress.
-
Which elements support long term satisfaction.
