Proposed Changes in Arrangements for the supply of ostomy Equipment in Scotland

You may be aware that earlier this year the Scottish Executive proposed a number of changes to the supply of ostomy equipment. You can view this information at the following website www.show.scot.nhs.uk/sehd.

During the last 9 months Salts Healthcare ltd, our trade organisation the British Health Trades association, Stoma Care Nurses and Patient associations have all been actively engaged in discussions with the Scottish Executive. (Websites are available for the patient associations and are shown at the end of this release.)

We have all been attempting to ensure the best possible products and services are available for all Scottish Ostomy patients
These discussions are still ongoing, however we can assure you that Salts Medilink Scotland will continue to dispense and deliver your prescriptions at your convenience and you will be able to contact your local branch as you do now.

You will receive a notice from the Scottish Executive from Salts Medilink Scotland (or your GP or Stoma Care Nurse) confirming your ongoing choice of products and services.
