On Sunday 20th May 2007, Salts Healthcare were proud to sponsor the West Midlands "Walk for Skin" event at Lickey Hills Country Park in Birmingham.
The "Walk for Skin" event is a series of short sponsored walks at various country parks across the UK. The event is organised to raise both awareness and money for people with skin disease.
Lickey Hills Country Park saw over 100 walkers take part in this organised event. Everybody turned up in high spirits and ready to enjoy the 3.5-mile walk around the beautiful picturesque grounds of Lickey Hills.
Salts Marketing Manager, Caroline Cowin said "It was great to see so many young children taking part with their families, who all thoroughly enjoyed the walk around the marked route".
The hills boast 524 acres of a mosaic mix of deciduous woodland, conifer plantations and heathland, all rich in a variety of wildlife.
Salts Healthcare would like to thank everybody who took part in the walk, especially Keely Hodgson, who at 2 years old walked the whole of the route with a little help from her brother Shane Hodgson and parents (Photographed). It was a great day for all and we hope that it has helped raise awareness of skin conditions and much-needed funds.
