Salts Healthcare are proud to be associated with the latest launch of three new patient information booklets. The three new patient booklets on Colostomy, Ileostomy and Urostomy, have just been published by CLiP (The Combined Literature Project).
The booklets have been written and produced by the three Patient Organisations - ia (The Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Group), Colostomy Association, Urostomy Association and representatives from each of World Council of Enterostomal Therapists, The Association of Coloproctology of Britain and Ireland (Nurses Forum) and The Royal College of Nursing Gastroenterology and Stoma Care Nursing Forum. The whole project has been funded by the five leading Stoma Care Manufacturers: Coloplast, ConvaTec, Dansac, Hollister and Salts Healthcare.

Paul Roberts, the CLiP facilitator, said “The main objective of these booklets is to provide specialist nurses with an unbiased, comprehensive and easy to understand message for patients. This will enable them to start with clear and concise information, from one source, rather than being confused by a variety of messages from a number of booklets”.

The Plain English Campaign have given all three booklets their seal of approval (the Crystal Mark) which means they are easy for people to read and understand.

Copies of the new patient booklets can be obtained by contacting your local Stoma Care Nurse, Salts Healthcare have a limited number of the booklets available.
