Salts Healthcare has taken a bold step in rebranding its Orthotics Division under the new name Salts Techstep.
While encompassing its current range of footwear and accessories, including its Shuform range of slippers, shoes and boots; a range of fashionable orthotic and support shoes from Schein (which Salts exclusively distributes within the UK); and Salts’ Stepahead range of custom-made digitally engineered insoles, Salts Techstep will also include a new range of orthotic school footwear from 23 April.
Senior Product Manager Adrian Priest explained the reason for the change: “Salts has a long and successful association with orthotics products and has always been highly regarded amongst orthotists who have been in the industry for some years. To them, the Salts’ name is synonymous with quality, innovation, value for money, care and service – and that’s what has established us as the market leader in the manufacture and supply of custom-made surgical footwear.
“However, many orthotists and podiatrists entering the profession in more recent years, did not immediately link Salts Healthcare with orthoses and we felt that the name Salts Techstep better conveyed the nature of the business. Our customers agreed that this was modern, had a strong impact, linked the product and feet and generated a more appropriate image for healthcare professionals.”
