Birmingham company Salts Healthcare, a leading manufacturer in the global healthcare market and one of the oldest family run businesses in the UK has moved.

For 19 years, the business was run from Lord Street, Aston, but is now located a few hundred metres down the road in Richard Street. Corporate staff, along with the company's manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facilities, are located all under one roof in the new, purpose-built premises.

Managing Director Peter Salt said: "Our old premises have served us well over the years but times have moved on and we needed a new home to better reflect the modern business that we are running. We also needed more space to accommodate the extra work we are carrying out to meet the growing demand for our products and services and to ensure that we had still further room to grow over the coming years. The staff here now benefit from better working conditions and, as the building is more user-friendly, we can work far more efficiently and cost-effectively. It's also a more welcoming place for our visitors.

"The development of the new business park in Richard Street gave us an ideal opportunity to move while enabling us to keep our head office in the West Midlands where it's had its roots for three centuries."
